Red Wattle Hogs

Breadcrumb Navigation

Red Wattle Hogs are a swine breed that are native to North America. They are various shades of red, have two fleshy wattles attached to either side of the neck, and mature to about 600-800 pounds. Their meat is known for its marbled, red color and is said to taste similar to beef. Red Wattle Hogs are known for their foraging abilities, which makes them an excellent choice for pasture raised pork.

Meet Our Gilt

<Registration name> aka “Rosie” is our registered Red Wattle Gilt. She is the sweetest pig on our farm, and loves getting attention! She has been bred to our Idaho Pasture Pig boar, Conrad, and we are hoping to get a litter of IPP/Red Wattle piglets in the Fall of 2023. Stay tuned for updates!
